An Essex-based equipment hire firm is to find TV fame this autumn after supplying scaffold towers to help return a ruined stately home to its former glory during a popular restoration TV show.
During the latest chapter of the popular show which previously attracted an audience of 2.6 million, viewers will see a mobile scaffold tower from Lakeside Hire during the programme. A spokesman for Sarah Beeny, Restoration Nightmare said: “In the last series they got it up to a point where they could do a wedding. This series is more about doing the décor and finishing bits.
She added: “Lakeside lent us a couple of scaffold towers. (On site) they wanted a five metre high scaffold tower because they have got some very high ceilings and the whole front is being done as well. The guys at Lakeside Hire were really helpful, they were brilliant actually. They were just so friendly.”
Sarah Beeny, Restoration Nightmare, which is due to be aired on Channel Four in November, follows Sarah practising what she preaches as she tries to save the imposing property from ruin. Rise Hall has been home to Sarah, her husband Graham and their ever-expanding family for the last ten years or so. They bought it for a song because of its dilapidated condition.
The idea is to preserve it for generations to come and Sarah is already on her way to turning the dream into reality. But will Rise Hall be declared a money pit or will it be restored to its true historic glory?

During the first series of the popular show, viewers had the opportunity to see how Sarah copes on a building site of her very own and although much progress was made there is still plenty more to do before the project is complete.
This revealing series shows Sarah take on what has been described as the biggest challenge of her property career as she attempts to breathe new life into the crumbling ancient property.
Fans have spent more than a decade watching Sarah dish out help and advice to amateur property developers, but what happens when the tables are turned and Sarah has to make all the right decisions?
Matt Browne for Lakeside Hire said it was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with Sarah Beeny on such a prestigious project. He added: “It just demonstrates how versatile a mobile scaffold tower can be. Most people who are undertaking these restoration and DIY projects do not realise that for a relatively small sum, they can simply hire equipment such as tools and scaffold towers. Not only does it ensure extra safety and security for workers, the scaffold towers can be used both inside and out which is ideal for such a large project.”
